Individual therapy in Gainesville, FL

One-on-one care for anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the things that are hard to say out loud. Person-centered, at your pace.

Therapy that starts with you

Individual therapy is one person and one therapist in a private room, working on whatever brought you in. That might be anxiety that will not switch off, a low mood that has lasted too long, a change you did not choose, or a pattern you keep repeating and cannot explain.

We work from a person-centered, empowerment perspective. You set the goals. Your therapist brings training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral, and Humanistic techniques, and matches the approach to you instead of fitting you to a method.

What we help with

  • Anxiety, worry, and panic
  • Depression, low mood, and burnout
  • Adjustment to loss, illness, divorce, or a move
  • Trauma and PTSD, including for veterans and first responders
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Addiction and recovery, disordered eating, and body image
  • Identity, relationships, and life direction

Who you will see

Every LiveWell therapist sees individual patients. When you call, the front desk asks a few questions about what you are looking for and matches you with the clinician whose experience fits best. You can also ask for someone by name.

Your first visit

The first session is 90 minutes. We review your expectations and preferences, go over your rights and privacy, and take a careful look at what is going on now and what has helped or hurt before. Then we map out treatment goals together. What to expect at your first visit.
